Health check-up camps were conducted for the children of BOSCO Vatsalya Bhavan on August 9 and 16, 2025, by Dr. Abraham and a team from Muthoot Snehashraya Foundation, Eshwar Eye Vision, and Sagar Hospital. The doctor recommended providing the children with protein and iron-rich foods. Comprehensive health assessments, including blood tests, eye check-ups, and general health evaluations (such as blood pressure, blood sugar levels, creatinine, and Hepatitis B), were performed for the girls residing in the centre, vocational training students, and staff members. A total of eighty-nine beneficiaries were served.
On August 17, 2025, the Inara group of medical students organized a health camp at BOSCO Mane. Several boys were found to have dental, skin, and other medical complications. The children also received education on proper brushing techniques, handwashing, and maintaining good mental health. Seventy-eight children participated in this health camp.
Muthoot Snehashraya Foundation conducted a health camp for community members surrounding BOSCO Nilaya on August 18, 2025. Blood tests were performed to check for creatinine, cholesterol, sugar, random blood sugar levels, and Hepatitis B. Additionally, eye screenings and spectacles were distributed at wholesale rates. Eighty-six people attended this camp.
BOSCO Nivas organized a general health and eye check-up camp at St. Xavier’s School in Shivaji Nagar on August 19, 2025. The camp was conducted by Dhanush and his team from the Muthoot Snehashraya Foundation. Participants received information on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, along with simple tips for the prevention and treatment of eye-related issues, first aid, and other health concerns. A total of eighty-nine individuals attended the camp, including Fr. Varghese Pallipuram, Fr. Johnson, Fr. K.J. Joseph, and Fr. Devaraj, Directors of BOSCO Bengaluru, who all took advantage of the services offered.
A general health check-up was organized for the inmates of BOSCO Rainbow Home on August 24, 2025. Staff from Bangalore City Hospital in Jayanagar conducted tests for blood pressure, height, weight, random blood sugar, ECG, and other vital signs. Eye screenings and pulmonary function tests (PFT) were performed by Pushya Eye Clinic. A total of fifty-three girls from the centre and thirty-four parents and children from the After Care Programme benefitted from this camp.
