Induction training programme for the new staff of BOSCO was conducted at BOSCO Yuvodaya, Bengaluru, on February 28, 2019. Fr. Mathew Thomas, Executive Director, BOSCO, Bengaluru, welcomed the new staff and briefed about the History, Vision and Mission of BOSCO. Fr. John MA, Administrator, BOSCO Bengaluru explained about the programs and the services of BOSCO. Mr. Shivamallu, Coordinator, BOSCO Foster Care Programme and Mr. Ramaswamy, Coordinator, BOSCO CREAM and ECCE Programmes, spoke on child rights and laws and said that right-based approach should be the paradigm to be adhered to in working with the poor and marginalized children.
Fr. Regi, Director, BOSCO Nilaya and Nivas, speaking about the Preventive System of Don Bosco said, “BOSCO has been able to reach out to thousands of children and young people in difficult situations through the dedication and commitment of the staff of the organization. Today, the onus is on you to let the legacy live on.” Fr. Rubin, Director, BOSCO Yuvodaya, explained in detail about the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) procedures to be followed during the child rescue process. Mr. Vivek Dev, HR Manager, BOSCO, Bengaluru introduced the HR policies of BOSCO to the group. Thirty-one new staff was present for the induction programme.
