Inter-Centre Cultural Competitions

The Inter-Centre Cultural Competition for children was held at BOSCO Sumanahalli, Bengaluru, on January 26, 2025. The programme was inaugurated by the watering the plant by the dignitaries. Fr. Jude Anand, in his inaugural speech exhorted the children to love Don Bosco abundantly and follow his footsteps to become successful in life. Fr. Varghese Pallipuram, Executive Director, BOSCO, Bengaluru,  delivering the presidential address congratulated the children for their participation in the Don Bosco’s Month events. He felt that  such competitions paved the way for talent enhancement. Smt. Malati Mysore, TV and Film Actor, Kannada Film Industry, the Special Guest expressed that BOSCO is a home for the homeless and the downtrodden and that God appeared in the form of BOSCO to take care of such children. Rev. Fr. Sebastian, Sumanahalli Society, Bengaluru also spoke on the occasion.  

The competitions included group dances, mimes, and fancy dress for the juniors and seniors boys and girls respectively. The Judges were Babu, Veeresh, Devaraj, John Bosco and Antony, Choreographers and Musicians. The judges were honoured with mementos. Fr. Jude Anand, Director, BOSCO Sumanahalli, Fr. KJ Joseph, SDB Director, BOSCO Mane, Fr. Johnson, Director, BOSCO Yuvodaya, Fr. Deepu, Director, BOSCO Nilaya and Yuvaspandana,  Fr. Joseph Dandavathi, Director, BOSCO Yuvakendra and Sr. Sheeba, Director, BOSCO Vatsalya Bhavan were present for the event. Over a hundred children participated in the competitions.
