Makkala Grama Sabhas

BOSCO CRISP Project participated in nine Makkala Grama Sabhas organized by Grama Panchayats in Nelamanagala and Bengaluru Urban during January 2025. These sabhas are aimed at providing children with a platform to express themselves, help build their confidence, self-esteem, and leadership skills. Children discussed ways to promote education and healthcare in their community, including organizing awareness campaigns and advocating for better facilities; building partnerships with local authorities to address child-related issues and promoting community development.These Grama Sabhas helped in promoting child participation, fostering community engagement and social responsibility, addressing pressing issues affecting children’s lives and well-being and empowering them to become active agents of change in their communities.

The Makkala Grama Sabhas saw the participation of the Presidents, Vice- Presidents, Secretaries and Panchayat Development Officers (PDO) of Grama Panchayats, school HMs and school and community children.
