BOSCO Nivas and Yuvakendra celebrated National Youth Day as a part of Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary at their centres on January 12, 2025. The Coordinator, BOSCO Nivas and Counsellor, BOSCO Yuvakendra briefed about the significance of National Youth Day. They narrated the childhood story of Swami Vivekananda and his quotes on youth. The staff raised awareness on the need to ensure the participation of youth in the modern world and in Nation-building while upholding their values. They highlighted the importance of yoga and meditation. They said that Swami Vivekananda believed that youth can transform the fate of India through their hard work, education, dedication, and spiritual power. His vision for youth empowerment relevant in the modern context was made known to the youths. A signature campaign was organized in St. Joseph’s College to enlighten the youth about their roles and responsibilities. All the students of St. Joseph’s College and twenty-two boys of Yuvakendra attended the celebrations.
