CHILDLINE Collab, BOSCO Bengaluru organized open house programme at Govt. Higher Primary School, Chandra Nagar on July 30, 2019. Fr. Prasad SDB, Director, CHILDLINE, BOSCO Bengaluru, addressing the gathering spoke about the services offered by CHILDLINE 1098 and the aims and objectives of the open house programme. Mr. Subramani K, PSI, Kumarswamy Layout, said, “The police shall ensure that a child-friendly neighborhood is created around the school.” He said that the school authorities and children could approach in any necessary situation.
Ms. Nagamani CN, Nodal Coordinator, CHILDLINE, Bengaluru explained to the children about safe and unsafe touch and facilitated the discussion with children. The students clarified their doubts about child rights protection mechanisms and voiced their concerns. Authorities present and CHILDLINE team assured the children that steps would be taken immediately, to address their issues. Mr. Puttannaswamy, ASI and Mr. Kumar, Kumarswamy Police Station, Ms. Uma, Headmistress, GHPS, staff and over hundred-and-thirty students participated in the programme.
