CHILDLINE Collab, BOSCO Bengaluru organized open house programme at Govt. Urudu Primary School, Yarab Nagar on July 25, 2019. In the keynote address, Ms. Usha Nayak, Coordinator, CHILDLINE, BOSCO Bengaluru explained about the services offered by the project. She enumerated the aims and objectives of open house. Mr. Manjunath Devaiah, PSI, Banshankari Police Station, said, “Several great people had humble beginnings. You need to dream big and make best use of the opportunities in order to study and become responsible citizens”. Fr. Prasad SDB, Director, CHILDLINE, BOSCO Bengaluru exhorted the children to avail the services of the helpline whenever they are in need of care and protection.
Ms. Vani, Field Coordinator, Yuvaspandana Program, NIMHANS, Bengaluru spoke about the negative consequences of substance abuse. She intimated them to stay away from bad company and report cases of substance abuse, to CHILDLINE. Ms. Nagamani CN, Nodal Coordinator, CHILDLINE, Bengaluru facilitated the discussion with children. They expressed their issues and the authorities present assured to resolve them in a timely manner. Mr. BM Chadari, Sayyad Shared, Imtiaz Pasha, Members, Masjid- E- Aksa, Yarab Nagar, Ms. Mohammedi Begum, Headmistress, GUMPS, staff and around two-hundred students participated in the programme.
