Open House Programme Organized

CHILDLINE, BOSCO Bengaluru organized open house programme at Government Higher Primary School Abbigere, Bengaluru, on February 05, 2019. Addressing the gathering, Fr. Prasad, Director, CHILDLINE, BOSCO Bengaluru spoke about the role, aims, goals and objectives of CHILDLINE 1098. He said whenever children need care and protection, they could rely on CHILDLINE.
Mr. Nagabhushan, Member, BBMP Shettihalli Ward, Bengaluru appreciated the work of CHILDLINE. He advised children to not misuse the 1098 helpline. Ms. Nagamani, Nodal Coordinator, CHILDLINE Bengaluru, facilitated the open discussion with children.
As children raised the issue of lack of drinking water and toilet facilities, Mr. Nagabhushan made arrangements with the water authority to make drinking water available on an emergency basis. He promised to build more rest rooms in the school premises soon. Mr. Lakshmayya Police sub inspector, Gangammanagudi Police station, Mr. Nagaraju PM, Head master, Govenament higher primary school Abbigere, and over 263 students and seven teachers were present for the programme.
