Orientation Programme on Formation of Child Rights Club

BOSCO CREAM Project organized orientation programme for the children of GHPS, Arasinakunte Colony, Nelamangala, Bengaluru and GJC (HS), Nelamangala, Bangalore Rural, on March 3, 2021. The training commenced with the introduction about BOSCO and CREAM Project. During the interactive session, Fr. Regi Jacob, Director, CREAM Project enlightened the children on UNCRC, children in difficult situations and child rights violations with relevant examples. Through an activity, he explained in detail about child rights. Ms. Priya, Coordinator, CREAM Project, facilitated the formation of Child Rights Club (CRC). She briefed the children about the responsibilities of child rights club members. Twenty-seven children were selected as the club members from GHPS, Arasinakunte Colony and twenty-eight children were selected as the club members from GJC(HS), Nelamangala. Children were asked to be active leaders and work towards achieving their goals. Ms. CD Poornima and Mr. HK Nagesh, Teachers in-charge of the clubs participated in the formation of CRC. Varalaksmi, Social Activist, CREAM Project welcomed the gathering and Bhgyalakshmi, Social Activist, CREAM Project proposed the vote of thanks. Two hundred and seventy children from GHPS, Arasinakunte Colony and four hundred and fifty eight GJC(HS), Nelamangala participated in the orientation programme.
