BOSCO Nivas held a meeting with the parents of children at the study centre in Rajiv Gandhi Colony on September 22, 2025. The team provided information on parenting skills, social entitlements, the role of parents, the importance of mutual respect, and how to have proactive conversations with children. Single parents expressed a need for support in finding hostel placements for their children. The counsellor at Nivas would assist them in obtaining Aadhar cards, PAN cards, ID cards, and ration cards. A total of thirty-two mothers attended the meeting.
Parents and Children Meeting was organized by the BOSCO Foster Care on September 28, 2025, at BOSCO Mane, Bengaluru. Fr. Varghese Pallipuram, Executive Director of BOSCO, in his message emphasized that both parents and children should nurture qualities like Kindness, Honesty, Obedience, Forgiveness, Responsibility, Generosity, Positivity and Gratitude. He emphasized that parents should spend quality time with their children and nurture a relationship built on mutual love and understanding. As part of the Dasara Camp for parents and children, games were organized and gifts were distributed. Thirty-five parents and children took part in the meeting.
BOSCO Mane and Vikas organized a meeting with the parents at BOSCO Mane on September 28, 2025. Addressing the parents, Dr Nikitha, MBBS, Saint John’s Hospital, created awareness on diabetes, blood pressure, and cancer. She explained dietary habits—what to eat and what to avoid—and discussed different types of cancer. Some parents also shared their experiences of having diabetes during pregnancy. Discussions included preventive health measures and parenting responsibilities. Seventy parents were in attendance.
