School and College Awareness

Awareness programmes were organized by the BOSCO SJPU team, the Foster Care team, and the CSN team at various schools and colleges in Bengaluru during July  2024. The coordinators spoke about child rights, child laws, children in need of care and protection, and children in conflict with the law reinforcing the principle of gender equality. They explained in detail about the SJPU, Foster Care and CSN projects, their importance, and the support of the school and college  authorities and children in identifying and referring children in distress. Video on POCSO was screened. One of the teachers informed about two child labour cases in their community. Rajendraprasad, PSI Chamarajpet Police Station; Ms. G Akkamma, WPC;   Mr. Guruswamy, PSI; Mr. Shivaraju. ASI; Mrs. Roopa. WPC and Mr. Sikandhar Badasha Shankaramma,Teachers were present during the awareness sessions. Around six  hundred and fifty children attended the sessions.
