School Development and Monitoring Committee Meeting

Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) project, BOSCO, Bangalore, organized School Development and Monitoring Committee (SDMC) Meetings at GUHPS, Old Guddadahalli GKHPS, Arundhathinagar, and Janatha Kannada HPS, Chamrajpet on January 9, 11 and 22 2020 respectively. Glimpse of activities of ECCE Project in the Anganawadis and schools, role of parents in child care and protection, Child rights violations, CHILDLINE and protection mechanisms were briefed. SDMC members were asked to visit the school and monitor the child’s activities. Relevant incidents were shared. Information regarding vocational skill training courses available at BOSCO was given.
Parents were requested not to entertain children below 18 years riding scooters. The SDMC members were given tips on the efficient functioning of the Eco Club in the Schools. Three SDMC members, eleven parents along with HM, three children from GKHPS, Arundhathinagar, six SDMC members and fifteen parents from GUHPS, Old Guddadahalli and eight SDMC members, HM and nine CRC members from Janatha Kannada HPS, Chamrajpet participated in the meetings.
