Session on GenderInequality

Student volunteers from Kerala conducted a session on ‘Gender Inequality’ for the children of BOSCO Vikas on October 20, 2024. Jilsa and Basila, BSW Students, Don Bosco College, Sultanbathery started the session with an activity in which children were presented with a  series of statements and asked to express whether they agree or disagree, followed by a discussion of  their opinions. They explained about  the concept of gender, gender identity, and its significance. A short film titled Juice was then shown to the group. Based on the film topics such as domestic violence, gender inequality,  emotional abuse etc. were discussed. Forty children participated in the session.
