Stake Holders Awareness Programme

Awareness programmes were conducted for Auto Drivers, Electrical Staff and Trolley Pullers by BOSCO Railway CHILDLINE team at Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna Railway Station, Bengaluru during May, 2019. The main aim of the awareness programmes was to sensitize the stakeholders towards runaway children and missing children. The topics were BOSCO and its activities, CHILDLINE, Railway CHILDLINE, missing children, 1098, runaway children, child rights child protection mechanisms, child welfare committee and the role of stakeholders in rescuing children. SOP (Standard operating procedure), revised JJ Act and the CWC process and vocational trainings for youth were also discussed during the sessions. Stickers with information on Railway CHILDLINE and toll free no. 1098 were pasted behind the autos which would help in creating awareness about CHILDLINE among the general public. Seventy-six auto drivers, twenty-five electrical staff and thirty-six trolley pullers were part of the awareness programmes.
