hildren of BOSCO Nivas, Nilaya and Rainbow Home celebrated Teacher’s Day on September 5, 2019 at the centres. Children performed dances and songs, did drawings and paintings. They wrote thanking letters to their teachers as a mark of gratitude. Two girls of Rainbow Home spoke about the importance of Teacher’s Day and about Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan.
Speaking on the occasion, Fr. John MA, Director, BOSCO Rainbow Home, expressed that the teachers not only teach but also guide and shape the character and future of the students. Staff enlightened children about Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan and the importance of the day. The role of teachers and their valuable contribution to the society in creating lawyers, teachers, judges, and other achievers was briefed. Children were guided to respect all their teachers. Eighty children from Nivas, thirty children from Vyayamashala and cement huts, twenty children from Vinobhanagar, twenty-six children from Ramanna Garden, sixty children from Nilaya, thirty children Rajgopal Garden, fifteen children from Anandhpuram and Giripuram and fifty-five girls from Rainbow Home participated in the Teacher’s Day celebrations. Celebrations drew to a close with cake cutting.
