BOSCO Nivas organized a Ward Sabha in BBMP office, Frazer town area on August 3, 2019. An introduction to BOSCO organisation was given by Ms. Pushpa Lakshmikanth, Coordinator, BOSCO CRY Project. Fr. Regi, Director, Nivas, in the key note address spoke about the purpose of the Sabha.
Mr. Ramaswamy, Coordinator, CREAM and ECCE programmes, invited the children to put forth their issues before the representatives of various departments present on the stage. During the discussion, one of the students felt there is an immense need of creating awareness about waste segregation to the public. Ms. Savitri, AE BBMP, educated the children on sources of garbage, waste management, importance of segregation, types of segregation and its uses. She also added that it’s the responsibility of the children to segregate the waste and also to educate their parents on the same. She mentioned the importance of three RRRs – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
