Workshop on Homelink Data Intelligence  for Global Interface(DIGI)

A three-day workshop was organized by the National YaR Forum, New Delhi at the Don Bosco Provincial House, Bengaluru  from July 24 to 26, 2024.  Fr. Shalbin, Vice Provincial, Bangalore Province  inaugurated HOMELINK – DIGI, a digital platform for scientific data collection. The sessions threw light on YaR and Homelink network, comparison of Homelink Child MISS and Homelink DIGI and module-wise presentations. Hands-on training was provided to the participants. Data protection policy was explained. The training was concluded by Provincial Rev. Fr. Jose Koyickal SDB  encouraging and emphasizing the importance of documentation. Fr. George P.S, Director, BREADS appreciated the efforts of National YaR forum. Certificates were awarded to the participating delegates from various Don Bosco institutions.

The resource persons were Fr. Joe Prabu, Executive Director, DB YaR Forum, Mr. Austin, Deployment Manager, Mr. Raj Parit, National Data Documentation Coordinator, Mrs. Jyothi Priya, Chennai Hub Coordinator and Mr. John Joshua, Bangalore Hub Coordinator.  Fr. Varghese Pallipuram, Executive Director, BOSCO Bengaluru,  Mrs. Priyanka and Mr. Praveen Kumar from Homelink Department and Ms. Usha Nayak, Coordinator, BOSCO Mane  participated in the training. A mini research on “School dropout and its effects on children’s life and society” was released on the occasion.
