World Clean-Up Day Rally

BOSCO Nilaya organized World Clean-Up Day Rally with the assistance of BBMP on September 14, 2019. The rally commenced from BOSCO Nilaya and passed through the streets of Police Road, Jolly Mohalla, Victoria Hospital and culminated in Kalasipalya Bus stand.
Quoting ‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness’, Fr. Regi Jacob, Director, BOSCO Nilaya, invited children to keep their homes, surrounding areas and the country clean. He stressed the need for ‘Clean Mind and Clean city.’ The rally weaved its way through the streets shouting slogans on cleanliness with banners, placards and other cleaning equipment drawing the attention of the public to the cause. Children, staff and BBMP Workers cleaned the place from BMTC Office to Kalasipalya Bus stand. Master Manoj, Ms. Shalini and Ms. Tanisha, spoke about the dengue menace and the importance of keeping the surroundings clean. Government officials and public appreciated children’s efforts and joined in the cleaning operation. Water cans were sponsored by Mr. Veeraiya, Health Inspector, BBMP.
Mr. Puttaramaiya, Assistant Sub-Inspector, Kalasipalya, Mr. Veeraiya, Health Inspector, BBMP, Mr. Ravindrakumar, Assistant Traffic Manager, BMTC, Mr. Narayan Rao, Traffic Inspector, BMTC, Mr. Devaraj, Head constable, Cottonpet Police station, Mr. Nagaraj, Traffic Police, Kalasipalya were present in the rally. Eleven BBMP Pourakarmikas and one BBMP pest controller assisted in the cleaning task. Twenty-five BOSCO Nilaya tuition and Child Rights Club children and staff participated in the rally. Around 1000 public were given awareness.
