World Environment Day Celebrated

BOSCO Vikas, BOSCO Mane, BOSCO Sumanahalli, BOSCO Nivas, Vatsalya Bhavan, Rainbow Home, BOSCO Yuvakendra, CSN, and  CRISP Project celebrated World Environment Day on the theme, “Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience” at their centres and areas on June 5, 2024. The concerned Directors inaugurated the programme at the respective centers and spoke about the importance of the day and highlighted the crucial role we play in protecting the earth. The children and the youth were told, ‘Grow trees and save the Earth’. They were exhorted to be more nature friendly and sensitive.

Children staged programmes showcasing the importance of the day. Posters and slogans were displayed and saplings were planted to help children realize the importance of protecting mother earth. The children and youth were told about the necessary steps to be taken towards preserving nature and greenery. Children pledged to take care of nature in their daily life. Centre and tuition children, St, Xavier School children, Government schools’ staff and children, the staff and the students of Padma Law College, Bengaluru, police personnel along with BOSCO staff and volunteers participated in the programme in the different centres, areas and schools.
