Shivashankar, was rescued from the railway station by the BOSCO team working in the railway station, in 2014. He was given counseling and admitted in BOSCO Yuvakendra. Shivashankar comes from a dysfunctional family where none of the family members have any contact with each other. He says that he understood the love and affection of a family only after coming to BOSCO. For the first time in his life, he felt safe and secure. After completing his school education and vocational training in BOSCO, he moved out to stay in a room independently. Currently he is employed in Metro (Super Market) as a housekeeping staff. He says BOSCO is a home for the homeless and is ever grateful to the organization for showing him the right path and making him a responsible citizen. He wants to do whatever he can to serve children in need whenever there is an opportunity.
