Foster Care Programme BOSCO Bengaluru organized training for the children and staff of Auxilium Navajeevana Girls Home, Guduvanahalli, Devanahalli Taluk, Bengaluru Rural District on October 2, 2020. Shivamallu, Coordinator, Foster Care Programme, started the session by speaking about the importance of family for children and parents, the responsibilities of parents and children in the family, creating alternative family care for children without families/parents, identifying potential parents interested in fostering children, the procedures involved in foster care, etc. Bharathi, Coordinator, BOSC Mane and Member, CWC Rural), spoke about the care and safety of girl children, prevention of physical and sexual abuse and child trafficking. Fourteen children and staff participated in the training.
