A life skill session was conducted for the children of BOSCO Vikas by Neravu team on July 21, 2024 to help them in mental and physical development. Sr. Precilla, Resource Person, Development Centre on Child Rights, Shanthi Sandesha Trust and Ms. Ivitha, CCI Transformation Support Person imparted information on Makkala Hakkugalu, fundamental rights according to UNCRC, the four rights such as Right to Survival, Right to Protection, Right to Development, Rights to Participation. The session also included topics like me and my body, body boundary, safe – unsafe touch, love relationships, implications and rights surrounding love relationships, health and hygiene.
The children were involved in breathing exercises, brain dance activity, listing safe and unsafe touch in the page with human drawing. The video – ‘Komal’ was screened. Forty-seven boys participated in the session.
