An Orientation Programme was held on September 21, 2026, at BOSCO Yuvodaya, Gandhinagar, bringing together BOSCO Coordinators, Counsellors and selected Supportive Persons for POCSO victims in the presence of the Executive Director, Programme Manager and HR Manager. Animated by Fr. Johnson, Director, BOSCO Yuvodaya, the programme introduced three initiatives under the theme “Three Doors, One House – The Mind of the Child”: Project MINDS, POCSO Supportive Persons for DLSA recognition, and the BOSCO Counsellors Unit under one umbrella. Ms. Kumari Pranitha presented Project MINDS, which aims to reach 3,500 children through 50 Young Clubs in schools and communities. The Coordinators expressed their willingness to support the initiative through their networks and institutional linkages.
Mr. Ramaswamy oriented the selected POCSO Supportive Persons on their roles, legal responsibilities, child-friendly approaches, confidentiality, documentation and professional boundaries. Fr. Johnson then presented the vision of bringing BOSCO Counsellors across CCIs under one umbrella, with a common framework, tools, referral pathways and regular case conferences and self-care sessions. Fr. Varghese Pallipuram, Executive Director, encouraged the participants to embrace these initiatives as a renewed approach to BOSCO’s mission of holistic child care. The programme concluded with a proposal to inaugurate all three initiatives on October 10, 2026, and the collective commitment: “We Have Time, We Have Minds!”
