Canonical Visitation of Fr. Provincial at BOSCO Bengaluru

Fr. Jose Koyickal SDB, Provincial of the Salesian Province of Bangalore, made a three-day Canonical Visitation to BOSCO Bengaluru from 1 to 3 September 2026. He was warmly welcomed by Mr. Vivek Dev, HR Manager, and introduced to the staff by Fr. Varghese Pallipuram, Executive Director, BOSCO Bengaluru.

During the visitation, Fr. Provincial visited the various BOSCO centres and areas and interacted with the confreres, staff and coordinators. Addressing the staff, he reminded them of the lasting impact of their service: “The service that you do has a measurable impact. It will be proof of our work and that nothing goes unrewarded.” He encouraged everyone to regularly evaluate their work, take ownership and remain committed to transforming the lives of underprivileged children.

Fr. Provincial expressed his gratitude to the staff for being part of the BOSCO family and encouraged them to believe in their mission and persevere amid challenges. He also highlighted the importance of working towards greater self-sustainability in the face of increasing funding challenges.

Concluding his interaction, he urged everyone to embody the spirit and qualities of Don Bosco, allowing his preventive approach, compassion and commitment to young people to inspire their daily service.
