A coordination meeting was organized at BOSCO Vatsalya Bhavan in collaboration with the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Bengaluru Urban South (Kengeri), Railway Protection Force (RPF), Government Railway Police (GRP), Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, and the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Bengaluru Urban South.
The meeting was attended by distinguished officials from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP), including Dr. Shreyans Chinchwade, Senior Divisional Security Commissioner; Mr. K. V. Venkatesha, Inspector; Ms. Asha H.K., DCPO, Bengaluru Urban South; Mr. K. N. Raju, ASI, Cyber Cell; Mr. Shiv Shankar, ASI, DST; Ms. Somlatha, WHC, DST; Ms. Shilpa, Constable, DST; Ms. Yuvarani, Constable, DST; Mr. Nataraj M.G., Sub-Inspector; and Mr. Venkatesh Murthy, Assistant Sub-Inspector.
Other esteemed participants included Smt. Soumya G.L., Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee, Bengaluru Urban South; Mr. Lakmeesha C.R., Member, Child Welfare Committee; and Fr. Vargheesh Pallipuram, Executive Director, BOSCO.
During the meeting, the participants discussed various child protection issues, monitoring mechanisms, and effective strategies for safeguarding children in need of care and protection. The team deliberated on the challenges faced by children at different levels and addressed several concerns by drawing upon the expertise and responsibilities of their respective departments. The discussions focused on strengthening coordination among stakeholders to ensure timely intervention and comprehensive support for vulnerable children.
Following the meeting, the officials visited the centre to observe the activities and services being provided for the welfare and development of children. They appreciated the dedicated efforts and valuable services rendered by BOSCO in supporting, protecting, and rehabilitating children in need. The visit reinforced the importance of continued collaboration among child protection agencies to create a safe and nurturing environment for every child.
