International Women’s Day Celebrations at BOSCO Centres

BOSCO Rainbow Home celebrated International Women’s Day at the centre in the presence of the Accenture team on March 8, 2026. The team interacted warmly with the children and encouraged them to participate in various fun activities. The team members also spent time talking with the children, sharing laughter, and creating a friendly environment. As part of their support and generosity, the visitors sponsored a special dinner for all the children. The children were very happy and grateful for the thoughtful gesture.

International Women’s Day was solemnly celebrated on March 8, 2026, at Sumanahalli under the theme “Give to Gain.” The programme was organized to promote the importance of women’s empowerment, sharing, and mutual support in society.

A total of 145 members, including women and children from Devaraj Urs Colony Study Centre and Sajje Palya Study Centre, actively participated in the event. Sr. Sagaya FSI, the Chief Guest, addressed the gathering and delivered an inspiring message on the significance of giving and its impact on personal growth and community development. Fr. Anand, Director, BOSCO Sumanahalli and Thippeswamy, Programme Manager, also spoke on the occasion.

BOSCO Vatsalya Bhavan celebrated International Women’s Day along with course completion certificate distribution to the trainees of the Tailoring and Beautician Trade on March 9, 2026.

As part of the cultural programme, children performed a dance, which added joy and vibrancy to the celebrations. Various interactive sessions were also conducted, encouraging active participation from the children and women.
