Meeting with the Stakeholders

Foster Care Programme, BOSCO Bengaluru organized meetings with DCPO, Unit Staff, CWC Members, CCIs Staff, PDOs and Taluka Health Officers in Bengaluru Rural on September 9 and 10, 2026.

Mr. Dhananjay, Member, Child Welfare Committee, Bengaluru Rural, addressed the participants and highlighted the lack of public awareness about foster care and encouraged more people to come forward and consider fostering children in need of care and protection.

Mrs. Aruna Kumari, Superintendent, Government Girls Home, Bengaluru Rural, shared that four children from the Girls Home had been placed with foster families and explained the children’s experiences and adjustment with their respective families.

Foster Care Posters and Stickers were released by the dignitaries.
Mr. Shivamallu, State Coordinator, Bosco Foster Care briefed about the Foster Care milestones, objectives, importance, and implementation process of the Foster Care program, placement, and follow-up of the children.

Ms. Roopa Shree, ACDPO, Ms. Nandini, AD Coordinator, Bosco Foster Care, and DCPU staff were part of the meeting. A total of one hundred and forty-seven participants attended the meeting.
