National YaR Day Campaign

On August 29, 2026, the closing ceremony of the National YaR Campaign for 2025-2026, the online launch of the 2026-2027 campaign, and the celebration of YaR Day took place under the theme, “Walk Beside Me in my Digital Journey”.  

 

The programme commenced with a prayer dance by Snehalaya, lighting of the lamp and a welcome address by Fr. Patrick Lepcha, South Asia Regional Delegate for Youth Ministry. This was followed by a video presentation. Fr. Joe Prabu, Executive Director, DB YaR Forum, New Delhi, gave an introduction to the National YaR Campaign.

 

Children from Don Bosco Ashalayam, New Delhi, presented a mime and a dance based on the theme.  Mr. John shared highlights of the “Walk Beside me in my Digital Journey” Campaign.

The Chief Guest, Fr. Naresh Kujur, the Youth Ministry Delegate of New Delhi Province, unveiled the campaign poster for 2026-2027, on the theme, “Walk Beside me in my Digital Journey” and delivered the keynote address. Children took a pledge on Digital Citizenship.

 

To mark YaR Day, all BOSCO centres conducted awareness sessions for children and staff on responsible digital citizenship. Poster-making, drawing and painting competitions were also organized. Children and staff participated in the online campaign launch, reinforcing the importance of guiding and supporting children in their digital journey. The staff and children from the centres participated in the online meeting and engaged in the launch of the YaR Day Campaign.
