Summer Camps Promote Learning, Creativity and Life Skills

BOSCO organized summer camps for the children and youth of BOSCO Rainbow Home, BOSCO Sumanahalli, BOSCO Vatsalya Bhavan, BOSCO Mane, BOSCO Vikas, and the BOSCO CSN Project during May 2026 at their respective centres and intervention areas. The Executive Director, Directors of the centres, Mrs. Manjula Ullah (RFI), Mr. Murugaraj (Sports for Change), Mr. Shivanna (SDMC Member, GHPS Pillahalli), and Mrs. Surekha (Anganwadi Teacher) were present during the camps.

BOSCO Vatsalya Bhavan conducted its camp from May 10–22, 2026; BOSCO Rainbow Home organized Fun with Sun from April 8–May 3; BOSCO Vikas conducted Summer Shining at BOSCO Sumanahalli from May 25–31; and BOSCO Sumanahalli organized Summer Smiles on May 1–2, 2026.

The camps included sessions on goal setting, time management, discipline, life skills, mental health, languages, motivational talks, sports, arts and crafts, storytelling, dance, drama, quizzes, campfires, tailoring, embroidery, beautician training, science experiments, fashion designing, vegetable carving, cultural presentations, educational visits, and Sports for Change coaching.

These activities helped children and youth develop confidence, discipline, leadership, teamwork, cooperation, physical and mental well-being, and discover hidden talents while making constructive use of their summer vacation. All children and youth from the centres and study centres actively participated in the camps.
