Training for Anganwadi Teachers

Foster Care Project, BOSCO Bengaluru organized training programs for Anganwadi Teachers at Maruthinagar, Goruguntepalya, Bapujinagar, Bengaluru respectively, on October 27 and 29, 2018. The team introduced BOSCO, its centres, services and explained in detail about child rights, CHILDLINE, concept of foster care, the legal procedures in foster care, difference between foster care and adoption, eligibility of foster parents, different type of placements like individual foster care, group foster care, kinship care, short term and long term foster care, age group of children, time frame for placements and legal procedures involved in becoming a foster parent and the roles and responsibilities of Child Welfare Committee (CWC). Seventy-seven Anganwadi Teachers participated in the training programs.
