Training Programme on Juvenile Justice Act for Police Officials

Special Juvenile Police Unit (SJPU) Project, BOSCO Bengaluru, organized a training programme on Juvenile Justice Act 2015 for the police officials of Karnataka State at the Police Training School, Thanisandra, Bengaluru, on November 7, 2018. In his keynote address, A Nagaraju, Dy. SP, Bengaluru, briefed about the goals and objectives of the training programme. PN Basavaraju, Coordinator, SJPU Project, BOSCO Bengaluru, facilitated the session on Juvenile Justice Act 2015 and Model Rules. He explained about CHILDLINE, structure and procedure and the role of police officials in the care and protection of children in difficult situations.
Fr. C.V. George, Director, SJPU Project, BOSCO Bengaluru, was present during the training programme. Kavitha, Social Worker, SJPU Project, BOSCO Bengaluru, welcomed the gathering and proposed the vote of thanks. Two hundred and eighteen police officials attended the training.
