RAILWAY CHILDLINE

Right from the time of the inception of BOSCO, railway stations have been the centre of child care operations of the organization. Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna (KSR) Railway station is a large space with 10 platforms, where every day around 164 trains arrive and depart carrying thousands of passengers from all over India, and many vulnerable children arrive or are brought to Bangalore in the trains for various purposes. It sees children from different states of India, and also neighbouring countries like Nepal and Bangladesh, alighting at the station to come to the city of Bengaluru. Since April of 2018, CHILDLINE has been functioning to reach out and care for children in distress at the Bangalore city railway station. Bosco implements the Childline project at the railway station as its collaborative agency. Childline is a project of the Government of India.
